Go and find it.

Something older than you are. The most useless thing within reach. The best remote team game is the one that gets everybody to stand up.

One at a time, not a list of forty.

18 left in the pack.

Why it works

The prompts are the whole game.

'Find something blue' produces eight blue objects and no conversation. 'Find something with a story attached' produces eight stories, and that is the entire difference between a scavenger hunt that works and one people endure.

So none of these is a colour or a shape. They are all questions about you, disguised as objects.

Worth knowing

It is the one that gets people out of their chair.

By the fourth call of the day everybody is a face in a box, and no amount of good facilitation changes that. Sixty seconds of everybody physically leaving the frame does, and the room is noticeably different when they come back.

Works just as well in an office as at home. The prompts are deliberately not home-specific.

✦ How to play

Three steps, and none of them is signing up.

1
Draw a prompt

Read it out. Eighteen in the pack.

2
Sixty seconds

Everybody goes and finds theirs. Use the free timer if you want one.

3
Show and tell

The explanations take longer than the finding. That is the good part.

Questions

Remote scavenger hunt, answered.

It works far better with one, since showing the object is most of it. Somebody without a camera can describe theirs, and that is usually funnier anyway.
Yes. Nothing in the pack assumes you are at home.
About ten minutes for three rounds, most of which is people explaining what they came back with.

The game is free forever.
The rest of it is the hard part.

EvyOS holds the goals, projects and tasks the team goes back to once the game is over.
