Your speed in words per minute, with the accuracy that produced it. The clock starts when you do, not when the page loads.
Words per minute is correct characters divided by five, over the minutes taken -- five characters being the conventional word. That means the number here is comparable with any other typing test rather than a measure of our own invention.
Only correct characters count. Typing quickly and wrongly produces a low number, which is the right incentive and the opposite of what a raw keystroke count would reward.
The quick brown fox is not English. It is a letter-coverage exercise, and it flatters anybody who has typed it before, which after thirty years is most people.
The passages here are ordinary sentences with common words, no numerals and nothing needing a modifier key, so a phone keyboard is not a separate handicap.
Nothing is timed until your first keystroke.
Characters go green when right and red when wrong, where the mistake happened.
Words per minute, accuracy, and the time it took.
