The date can move

The one deadline here is not fixed, so the plan is dated early and deliberately holds room. Booking anything unmovable is the main risk.\n\nAsk what they want first. Guessing is the most common way a shower becomes something to get through rather than enjoy — and the guest list determines everything else anyway.
