There are three ways to arrive with something already in your account.
A template you filled in
The templates on this site are working sheets, not printables. Fill one in without an account, and if the plan is worth keeping there is a button at the bottom that carries it into EvyOS as real goals, projects, tasks and habits.
Two things worth knowing:
- Nothing is created until you press the button. The receiving page shows you exactly what it would make first, so a link opened out of curiosity cannot litter your account.
- The plan travels in the part of the URL that never reaches a server. Your goals, your numbers, your assessment of your own life — none of it exists in our infrastructure before you have decided to have an account.
Everything the template creates is tagged with the template's name, so you can find it together, or remove it together if you change your mind.
A file from another app
Settings → Your data imports CSV and JSON, one record type at a time: goals, projects, tasks, habits, skills, notes.
There is no per-app adapter. The path from another tool is:
- Export from the old app as CSV.
- In EvyOS, export the same record type first — that file is the column format.
- Match your columns to those, in a spreadsheet.
- Import.
It is a few minutes of work, and it is honest about what is happening: nobody has to guess how your old tool named its fields.
Imports are validated before anything is written. If rows do not parse, you are told how many and nothing is created — a half-finished import is worse than none.
Your own data, coming back
Export writes exactly the columns import accepts, so a file round-trips. Pull your tasks out as CSV, fix a hundred of them in a spreadsheet, put them back. It is also the answer to "can I get my data out", which you should be asking of anything you keep your life in. You can, in both formats, whenever you like.
